Transition is a photographic imaging of adolescents in the natural environment. The portraits show teenagers in situations that expose them as thoughtful and vulnerable beings. In particular, every person is placed in a landscape and appears surrounded by natural elements. The aim is initially to integrate man into the natural environment and then to familiarize him with the elements of nature.
The innocent teenage faces are in harmony with the peaceful environment and show a mood of moving away from reality, without revealing what has just happened before. A frame of reading is created, in which history seems to be unable to reveal to the viewer the beginning and the end, but only now, the moment of the capture. Their looks betray a character that is not revealed to the viewer as they are absorbed in their own thoughts.
In this way, the viewer is asked to identify with the depicted persons, to travel back in time and to experience the transition from childhood to adulthood. Additionally, a past reflection of our memories is achieved through the faces of adolescents, creating a familiar, yet strange, intimacy.
